the last one I did was for a friend’s
daughter’s birthday and it took 4 hours!

decorating, in particular wallpapering
and painting.

always wanted to learn to cook so that
would be good!

 I create carvings from scrap wood and
specialise in walking sticks. I’ve
lived in Kibblesworth for 45yrs and I’m
an ex-train driver and instructor.

Ron Dow |
 I am a member of Kibblesworth Karvers
and use all kinds of techniques. I
specialise in woodturning using wood
such as ash, spalted beech, blackthorn,
hazel and hawthorn to create
candlesticks, bowls and ornaments.

Stan |
 I am a member of Kibblesworth Karvers
and specialise in pyrography
(decorating wood with burn marks by
using a heated object such as a poker).
At the moment however, I am working on
relief carvings.

Malcolm Mains |
 I am a member of the Kibblesworth
Karvers. At the moment I am working on
a trout stick and making it out of
ram’s horn. I also make fishing flies
for trout and salmon.
