  My Kibblesworth

Here are some of your thoughts, favourite places, memories, 'things to do' and walks to experience in Kibblesworth and the surrounding area:

Jenna Beattie

My garden is my special place - I have an endangered Japanese plant that the developers are having to work around!

Janice Caiger

I like to shop with my neighbour in my spare time.

Mavis Palmer

My special place is in my garden with my granddaughter who joins in to help!

Jackie Hewitson

My special place where I like to relax is the social club (where I work) with a beer! I used to hang out in Middle park when I was younger so that is a special place for me too.

Denise Moffat

I love the beautiful countryside around Kibblesworth, there are lots of walks and so many birds around.

David McGuigan

I was born in Kibblesworth and I remember walking up to the pit to meet my dad after work. You could never get into the club as it was always packed out with pitmen. The cricket and bowling green used to look really nice, with lovely railings all the way round.

Andrew McGuigan

I grew up in Kibblesworth but now live near Saltwell. I enjoy coming back to see my Dad who has lived here all his life.

David and John Copeland

At one time everyone knew each other in the village and we used to go to school in the building that’s now the Millennium Centre so it’s changed a bit since then. Kibblesworth is set in a lovely location and is great for walking.

Lorna Dyer

The Bowes railway line that runs past Kibblesworth is my special place where I go for a relaxing walk.

Alan Beeby

I loved growing up in the village, we used to play in the dene not far away.

Jo Robson

My special memory is attending primary school and being in the Nativity play. I also used to love playing in the Dene.

Withycombe Family

Our special memory was the community festival day on Oct 1st 2011! We need this sort of thing for the community. The school is a special place for us where we see our children learn and develop and the park is special, where we all love to play!

Mr O M Taylor

I think the scenery is the special thing about Kibblesworth and the friends I have here.

Mrs F Taylor

Kibblesworth was a nice place to grow up and I remember us playing in the fields

Audrey and Ellie Roughead

We were born here and all our family are around so it’s very special to us. I like walking in the fields and used to play on the field where the school is now built.

Eddie Cox

I think Kibblesworth is special because of the scenery.

Michelle Driskel

My special memories of Kibblesworth are my niece’s school plays, fun days and nativity.

Julie Smith

My special memory was first moving here and the green is a lovely place to spend time in the village
